The Contrade, the Palio, the horses: these are 3 moments of an extraordinary experience renewing itself year after year respecting an ancient tradition that lives in the hearts of Siena’s people throughout the year. The Palio is not a special event organized for tourists! It is a part of the heart of the local residents and, for this reason, it finds a place in the heart of the guests that understand its significance and genuineness. In this context the horse is surely the outright protagonist of the festival and race. It is the only and undiscussed arbiter of the victory or defeat: from here born the particular love of the Siena’s people for the horses.
By dedicating our apartments to the great horses that are part of the history of Siena's Palio, we wanted our guests feel this love for them. We want you to live here the Palio atmosphere every year's day.

ASSISTANCE ON YOUR ARRIVAL
The historical center is a limited traffic zone. Our guests are authorized to enter by car into the LTZ through “Porta Romana” gate, in order to leave luggage to the apartment (please inform us in advance).
If you arrive in Siena by car, we are at your disposal to give you detailed info about LTZ and parking possibilities.
INTERNET
Wi-Fi is present in the lobby and in all our apartments (some apartments also have a cable connection as well as having the wi-fi).
BICYCLE HOUSE
If you arrive by bike, we have a small storage where you can leave your bike.
PARKING – GARAGE
Siena center is a Limited Traffic Zone LTZ.
Our guests can park in a covered parking only 5 minutes walking from Casa Vacanze il Campo (paying reduced rates) or in our small private garage/open-air car space, only a few steps from all the apartments. Our garage/car space have to be reserved in advance (limited avalilability).
The nearest free parking spaces are located outside the LTZ, 1 km from the accommodations, along residential streets.
BABY SITTING SERVICE
We can contact for you a qualified English speaking baby sitter.
LAUNDRY SERVICE
A washing machine / dryer is at your disposal during the reception opening time.
BREAKFAST AND MASSAGES ON REQUEST
We usually do not provide breakfast but, at your request, we can reserve for you a table in a bar close the hotel, where you can have continental breakfast or reinforced breakfast. With a little notice, a professional masseur can come to your apartment for a relaxing massage.
CLEANING
Weekly cleaning and final cleaning of the accommodation are always included in the price.
More frequent cleaning service is provided on request.
GUIDED VISITS, TRIPS, EVENTS
Casa Vacanze il Campo would like to help you to know and enjoy the city in every aspect. We are at your disposal to find info about the events taking place in the city and in the surrounding area during your stay. We can book for you tasting, guided visits of the town, trips or gastronomic tours in the most beautiful places all around Siena like Montalcino, Montepulciano, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, the Chiantishire.

Our ancient building in the Contrada della Torre , just restored and renewed, is made up of some romantic apartments, dedicated to the most famous horses, winners of the Palio. The other apartments are located in the Contrada dell’ Onda. All the accommodations are very close Il Campo, the main square of Siena. The apartments are furnished extremely tastefully in Tuscan style, with visible ridgepoles and small ridgepoles. They have private bathroom, bedroom and equipped kitchen or living room with kitchenette

“Our Experience in Casa Vacanze il Campo” – 30th December 2016
My name is Matin and I am a university student in Siena University. My friend and I rented a house from Casa Vacanze il Campo for November 2016. The house was clean and all the necessary things like dishes, glasses, iron, towels and etc were available there. Also the house is located in the city center so we did not need to pay for transportation. We enjoyed our days in the house.
The manager of Casa vacanze il campo, Mr. Giuvanni Ruggeri, helped us in so many ways. Once our family sent us a package but as a result of a mistake happened in post office the package was sent to Bologna. As we could not speak and write in Italian language so we asked Mr. Ruggeri to help us. He started the process of following the package which took a month long. Finallay Mr. Ruggeri received our package and gave it to us. We are so thankful to him.
We recommend casa Vacanze il Campo to the people who want to enjoy their time in Siena.

I decided to spend one month inTuscany this year and was advised by several friends that Siena would be an ideal city to use as a base. I wanted to rent close to the Campo, Siena’s main square so that I could become familiar with the neighborhood. After considering various alternative properties, I selected Apartment Benito, offered by Casa Vacanze il Campo. Giovanni went out of the way to email pictures of his various properties, and also to make sure that everything worked perfectly in the apartment. He also arranged a day trip for me and two of my friends to visit Montalcino, where the grapes for Brunello, one of Italy’s most important wines, is grown. I heartily recommend Giovanni as a landlord for your stay in Siena.
